It contains Pyriproxyfen, a reliable and proven active ingredient recommended simultaneously in the fight against mosquitoes and houseflies. With the sudden larvicidal effect synergy of Neem oil in its composition, mortality is seen in approximately 92% of the larvae on the 3rd and 4th days.
With the Pyriproxyfen & Neem oil combination, Microlarv ME® creates a special larvicide composition with a high immediate effect and a long duration of action.
Azadirachtin, obtained from Neem seeds, has a toxic effect and an anti-feedant effect on insects. Neem products prevent the stimulation of taste receptors, cause a negative reaction in the stimulated receptors and stop feeding. As a result, biochemical changes occur in the digestive systems of insect larvae and they die due to starvation. This takes the biological effectiveness of Microlarv ME® to the peak.
Produced with high-level Microemulsion Technology, Microlarv ME® creates a homogeneous concentration in water with its minimized particle size, while at the same time maximizing both contact and digestive effects. It shows great spread in the applied area. Micro-sized particles penetrate the body of the larvae much faster.
Microlarv ME® does not carry any risk, especially in aquatic areas, as it is formulated without chemical solvents. Since it does not contain petroleum-derived solvents, there is no negative effect on the environment.
In addition to the production process that requires a long time and high technology, the field performance is unique with the top-level auxiliary substances used and the original molecular structure.
Microlarv ME® is a larval control agent used to prevent larvae from turning into adult mosquitoes. It does not kill the larvae directly, it disrupts the normal process in insect development, resulting in pupal death and preventing the emergence of adults.
Pyriproxyfen affects the physiology and morphogenesis of insects. It inhibits the life cycle in the pupal/adult stages by allowing larvae or pupae to develop normally without maturing among adults. It also affects the viability of eggs exposed to pyriproxyfen.
The positive safety profile poses minimal risk only to mammals, birds, and fish. It also allows it to be applied even to drinking water. (Pyriproxyfen drinking water publication no WHO/SDE/WSH/03.04/113)
